Looks to me like a stock photo, perhaps > a toothpaste ad.

But it does make the broader point that spending a few hours at church each Sunday doesn't make one a Christian any more than
spending a few hours in the garage makes one an Oldsmobile.

Hypocrisy is despicable.
Religious hypocrisy is despicabler.

Happy Independence Day

...
As a conservative I'm OK with tradition. But I wouldn't absolutize it.

I'm an American, meaning, native to the group of continents known as America.
I'm also a U.S. citizen, tax payer, voter. BUT:
I'm also human, and am mindful when my privilege as a U.S. citizen encroaches on any that aren't.

I wasn't a native born American until I was born. BUT !
I was human for most of a year before that.
Thus in the hierarchy, I endeavor to remain mindful that my "patriotism" does not trump my humanity.

None the less, as is the tradition in my homeland: Happy Treason Day !

I a little bit get the yellow highlighted text.
The cartoon art leaves me puzzled.
"I thyink you're over thinkyin' it." BIL
I confess S2, to say I am alarmed by Project 2025 would be an understatement.

Who is the better defense against it? Biden? Or Harris?

Grate idea.
"... moving Independence Day to January 6" Hamill #1,266
Independence Day celebrates converting the American colonists from royal subjects to citizens.
This proposed conversion would convert citizens to subjects, victims of a profoundly impaired dictator.

Hamill may get a passing grade for satire.
But according to recent polls, the risk of dictator Trump retaking office is terrifyingly high.

I can't condemn "fair & balanced".
This cartoon makes vividly clear the divergence between ideological distinction, and superficial balance.
There's more to balanced presentation than two experts. [scholar vs ding-bat, HA !] Way to lighten the mood S2.

A patch of white gauze over right ear is reportedly today's fashion trend at the Republican convention.

One way to find out t #1,274.

Reminds me of the difference between a group of baby foxes, and a women's track team.
The foxes are a pack of cunning runts, and ...
