What to call this thread?

Déjà vu.
Over a half-century ago I was witness to such conversation, but it was about being gay, not trans.

Bigots would benefit from learning pie charting fundamentals. The greater the percentage% they devote to hatred, the less of their life available for joy. Chumps !

Good point.....

For those discomforted by this unavoidable reality, some ancient wisdom:

You reap what you sow *.
For those indifferent to how kindly or maliciously they're treated, ignore it.
For those that prefer not to be disrespected, do not disrespect others.

It's a principle so fundamental, even the pre-literates understood it.

* Inspired by Galations 6:7
... for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

"Everyone is female at conception." meme #583
My study of human reproductive genetics ended in high school.
But since then I've thought of "the fertilized egg" as the first diploid cell,
to first exist when the two haploid gamete cells combine into one diploid cell.
And that cell is often either XX or XY, as are its numerous succession of generations of replicants within that individual.

I thought from fertilized egg, the genetic complement was stable, except for mutations.

Some science texts assert there are some species that can switch genders, and further assert this reversal is influenced by the local population ratio of that species. That's different. Humans mostly don't.

Trump's plan to boot 4,200 transgender troops from the military and eradicate DEI is dealt huge blow

By BRITTANY CHAIN FOR DAILYMAIL.COM / Published: Updated: 04:49 EDT, 19 March 2025

Donald Trump's plan to ban transgender troops from serving in the military has been dealt a crippling blow.

US District Judge Ana Reyes described the plan as 'unabashedly demeaning' in a fiery 76-page written decision declaring the administration cannot enforce the ban.

The policy was due to come into effect later this month and would have impacted up to 4,200 service members who experience gender dysphoria.

Upon returning to the White House, Trump signed an executive order which both eliminated DEI from the armed forces and prohibited transgender people from serving - sparking a wave of protests and a lawsuit arguing it was unconstitutional.

Reyes has now issued an injunction which prevents the administration from enforcing his ban until the lawsuit has been finalized.

'The ban at bottom invokes derogatory language to target a vulnerable group in violation of the Fifth Amendment,' Judge Reyes wrote.

'Its language is unabashedly demeaning, its policy stigmatizes transgender persons as inherently unfit, and its conclusions bear no relation to fact.

'Indeed, the cruel irony is that thousands of transgender service members have sacrificed – some risking their lives – to ensure for others the very equal protection rights the Military Ban seeks to deny them.'

It's premature for us to declare victory, and go home. BUT !
This is a glimmer of sanity in a U.S. federal government overtaken by Trump madness. It has also elevated US District Judge Ana Reyes to hero status.
We can be a little less ashamed of being U.S. citizens this morning. Winter ends tomorrow.

The athletes in the photo are Brooke Holladay Ence, Stacie Tovar and Katrín Tanja Davidsdottir, and they are all CIS women. Stop “transvestigating” people just because they don’t look as dainty and “feminine” as you want. These women worked hard to get as in shape as they are

Why?
What man wants to date a woman that's more of a man than he is?

Compounding that KFC was originally named "Kentucky Fried Chicken", reportedly switched name to "KFC" to dodge legal issues if challenged for false claim over the word "Fried" (or "Chicken", & now "Kentucky").

True, and immaterial.
That's the state of athleticism their bodies are in, regardless.

If the counterpoint intended in #599 is these impressive athletes have done the calculation, and made their choices, fine. We all do. BUT
many other women make different choices. They're the ones shallow, fragile men like me prefer.
