One officer was dragged, but none were tased, none became unconscious, and none died at the scene.

The only death was Sicknick, and that was later.

Months later, however, the Washington, D.C. medical examiner reported that Sicknick had died as a result of two strokes, classifying his death as due to natural causes,
but later commented that "all that transpired played a role in his condition".
The ruling was criticized by some expert neurologists, who argued that stress resulting from the insurrection at the Capitol may have caused the stroke.
The medical examiner found no evidence that Sicknick had an allergic reaction to the pepper spray.

Sicknick's death was investigated by the Metropolitan Police Department's Homicide Branch, the USCP, and the FBI.
On March 14, 2021, Julian Elie Khater and George Pierre Tanios were arrested and charged with assaulting Sicknick with a chemical spray.
They were not charged in connection with Sicknick's death. On July 27, 2022, Tanios pleaded guilty to lesser misdemeanor charges unrelated to the assault on Sicknick.
On January 28, 2023, Khater was sentenced to almost seven years in prison for assaulting two officers, including Sicknick, with a dangerous weapon

The United States is not a democracy. In a democracy the electorate votes directly for their candidate of choice.

Your irate criticism is enough to call attention to the issue. That's useful for those that hadn't otherwise noticed.

I've noticed.

Rather than condemnation, how about a constructive suggestion?
- The Republican party has demonstrated their partisanship trumps their citizenship.
- The Democrats might seem an obvious emergency alternative. Shall we wait until after the mid-terms? By then Canada may be the fifty-third State.

Based on what we can see in the vid ICE's story doesn't hold up.

And the vid includes the Mayor telling ICE to get the fuck out of the city.

That's an ineffectual P.R. flourish, not a serious policy effort.
The mayor should know those street-level operators have little if any command / policy authority beyond immediate incident level.
If the mayor is serious about permanently expelling ICE from the jurisdiction it must be handled at command / policy level. Gruff talk to boots on the ground accomplishes virtual zero.
