They walked over to their assigned spot (which is several feet away from their opponent). The referee who stands midway between the two holds up his hand (the one on the side of the victor) and the two opponents bow. Then they usually shake hands and they leave the tatami.
 
Just so you know, Francis W. Parker is a private school. Y’know, one of those places conservatives say should be allowed to teach what they want.

Quite the contrast. In the upper picture we see someone looking like a President instead of a petulant child. The lower one is shortly after Trump tried to extort an investigation out of him.
