The war in Iran (or whose war is it anyways?)

Thanks you for the scoop S2.
"Iran just announced it won't reopen the Strait of Hormuz until Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu are removed from power." #441
Viva Iran !

"We learn from history that we do not learn from history." Hegel

Let's not overlook reality. Trump made a binary choice.
Iran offered Trump an alternative.
Trump rejected that in favor of the status quo, which reportedly includes record high diesel cost, just at the onset of home heating season in the Northern hemisphere.

Should that surprise us? Trump has already rejected President Obama's plan, which left the Hormuz Strait entirely open, unobstructed.

The rumor is that Bush started the war with Iraq actually only to raise oil prices in order to increase TX profits.
If that is the case, then Trump may also be motivated just by increasing oil profit kickbacks?

Trump knows his War on Iran is unpopular with voters paying higher $prices at the pump.
Trump knows he's even getting political, potentially congressional backlash from Republicans.
Trump has rejected Iran's offer to reopen the Hormuz Strait.
Why is Trump stalling? Dawdling?

This indicates Trump is willing to inflict more lethality on Iran, BUT
Trump doesn't want the political consequence, the penalty
to be imposed on Trump & Republicans in November's elections.

So Trump is stalling & bluffing until after November's ballots are cast?

Fox News viewers turn on Marco Rubio after nine-word Trump 'savior' boast

Rubio Defends Trump's Iran Strategy, Draws Fire Online

The Secretary of State used a prime-time appearance to make the administration's case again. Rubio, 55, sat down with Hannity, 64, and laid out the reasoning behind a conflict that has now dragged on for months. His central claim was that the threat had a clock on it: Iran, he said, was heading toward a nuclear breakout, and waiting would have cost the United States its chance to respond.

What Rubio Said

Rubio described a scenario in which Iran kept piling up missiles, drones and conventional weapons until military options against its nuclear program simply disappeared. "That's what they were trying to do," he told Hannity, "That's what the President prevented."

He also leaned on a line that has become common among defenders of the war: that the alternative can't be tested. In his words, the only way to prove the opposing view would be to let Iran's buildup go ahead and see what happened. Rubio credited Trump, 80, with averting a much bigger problem down the road.

The interview came shortly after Second Lady Usha Vance, 40, made headlines with remarks about her husband and a possible 2028 presidential run.

Social Media Pushes Back

Reaction online was sharp. Many viewers rejected the idea that Iran was close to having nuclear weapons at all.

One commenter wrote that months into the war, officials are still searching for justifications, then pointed to the Obama-era nuclear deal, which included international inspectors in Iran, and noted that Trump withdrew from it. Another argued that the president has no right to decide whether a sovereign nation can defend itself, saying Trump is "not a god." A third predicted the war would ....

The most obvious flaw in his reasoning is that Obama easily succeeded in a 15 year halt to nuclear weapons, without costing a cent, raising gasoline prices, or anyone getting killed.

All B-1 Bombers Leave RAF Fairford in Hasty Departure from UK Base

Oct. 4, 2026 | By Chris Gordon
All 12 American bombers deployed in Britain rapidly returned to the U.S. on Oct. 4 following security concerns about a potential Iranian threat to their base in the U.K.
The dozen B-1B Lancer bombers, .“All U.S. bombers that were deployed to RAF Fairford have redeployed to their home stations in the United States,” the Pentagon and U.S. European Command said in statements to Air & Space Forces Magazine.
The U.S. military emphasized that bombers could still strike targets across the globe from the continental United States—something B-1B, B-2 Spirit, and B-52 Stratofortress bombers all did during the height of operations against Iran this spring.
“The Airmen that operate America’s bomber force, including B-1s, B-2s, and B-52s, remain ready to deliver precision global strike capabilities—including through operations that launch and recover from the continental United States—anywhere, anytime,” the statement read.

Trump has blundered spectacularly again, this time by throwing in with a ruthless maniac like Netanyahu to solidify the losses the U.S. sustained
when Trump unilaterally withdrew from the Obama era JCPOA agreement with Britain, France, Germany, China, Russia, & Iran.

Now the dozen formerly forward deployed U.S. B-1 bombers at Fairford have been repatriated. "The terrorists have won"?

The President shall, at stated Times, receive for his Services, a Compensation, which shall neither be encreased [increased] nor diminished during the Period for which he shall have been elected, and he shall not receive within that Period any other Emolument from the united States, or any of them.

Previous presidents over the centuries have by divestiture or blind trust isolated themselves from the appearance of impropriety Trump has acquired.

Previous U.S. presidents have appeared to serve the People.
Trump appears to be serving himself. - put my name back on the Kennedy Center, or I'll demolish it -
