Trump Gets Triggered By Looming Criminal Charges & Melts Down

Trump to be sentenced in hush money case, days before his inauguration

SOURCE

Justice Juan Merchan, who oversaw the six-week trial last year, has signaled he does not plan to send Trump to jail or to fine him. But by granting an unconditional discharge, he would place a judgment of guilt on Trump's permanent record.

Article II: Presidential Immunity to Criminal and Civil Suits

By Samuel Strom, J.D. / Legally reviewed by Laura Temme, Esq. / Last reviewed August 01, 2024
The president of the United States has absolute immunity from civil lawsuits if the suit arose due to actions the president took within their constitutional authority. However, there are limits to what constitutes official acts, and presidents are not absolutely immune from all lawsuits, such as those involving actions they took before taking office or those they took outside of their constitutional authority. https://constitution.findlaw.com/ar...ial-immunity-to-criminal-and-civil-suits.html

It's possible the layman's perspective is Trump's extemporaneous comment on these notoriously wrongly prosecuted citizens is not within Trump's Constitutional authority. BUT !

Trump reportedly has faced literally thousands of law suits in his life. Adding one more isn't likely to matter much to Trump.
The question: of what potential consequence to his 2nd 4 year term? Either way, the Trump SOP, delay and obstruct.
