Not clear to me why LQ #3,881 holds such a dim view of President Obama she thinks he should be punished by having to serve another 4 years. We are already indebted to President Obama for his faithful service.
Difficult enough for me to figure out what the Republican party stands for.
Trump has spent $Millions trying to get the Lincoln memorial reflecting pool back to being water-tight, the way it was before he started spending $Millions on it. Seem wasteful?

Trump has spent $Tens of $Billions on trying to get the Strait of Hormuz back the way it was before he started spending $Billions on it.
Can you name a worse president of the United States? Ever? There's over 250 years of history to choose from.

Obama was certainly a much better speaker than Bush or Trump.
But there were disappointments.
Obama had campaigned as anti-war, and then he indulged the whole "Arab Spring" series of wars Hillary was pushing.
Instead of public health care, he also mandated private health insurance.

When Governor Reagan debated President Carter, Reagan [an experienced movie star] began his summation
by looking into the camera and asking: "Are you better off ...?"
Governor Reagan's message: you want four more years of this ?!
By that precise Republican standard, the day Senator Obama was inaugurated president the U.S. (Bush administration) economy was in crisis.
The path to prosperity quickly ensued, and Obama maintained it for 8 years.
How does that contrast to Trump?
Promises made, promises broken.
But I did not like Obama's response to the 2008 recession.
It would have cost exactly the same to bail out the home owners getting evicted, instead of the banks who gave out the deceptive balloon payment mortgages.
I was not impressed by how long and how much it cost to survive the 2008 recession.
Obama cause the National Debt to go from $8 trillion to $14 trillon.

I think the Great Depression was cause more by trade wars than by the stock market collapse.
Trade wars are not logical and should likely be illegal in my opinion.

Agreed they're not logical but unless you can somehow pass a law that applies to every country on the planet (all 200 or so of them) AND you can convince them to obey that law ....
I think the 1906 Geneva Conventions already make impediments to civilian commerce illegal.
