The Netherlands (2026): De Nederlandsche Bank transferred 86 metric tons of gold out of the U.S. and Canada to London between March and August 2026. The bank cited "increasing geopolitical unrest" and stated that gold stored in London is easier and quicker to trade during a crisis

France (2026): The Banque de France moved 129 tonnes of gold worth about $17 billion from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York back to Paris in January 2026, citing technical updates and return optimization.

Germany (2013–2017): Germany previously moved more than 600 tonnes of gold from New York to Frankfurt to secure its national reserves.
