How dare Canada have a health care system??

How dare Canada have a health care system??

If we improved our health care and took away the insurance monopolies, then we could cut our health care costs by more than half.
Then people would no longer be forced to look for alternatives like Canadian health care.

One of the reasons our health care system is so bad is that each insurance company has its own proprietary claims systems that special experts have to be hired for each insurance company the doctor wants to allow. That is a huge extra expense that does not even profit anyone.

"does not even profit anyone" except "special experts".

I don't know the details R5. BUT !
I'm familiar with economy of scale. If it cut our $healthcare costs in half, (y)

At allaboutbirds.org you can click "listen".
Not quite the same as awakening ashore to early morning mist on the water
and the call of a loon.
There's a synergy between the loon's call, and the acoustics of the terrain,
an inkling of the message that in some parts of Canada isolation means more than merely
being away from crowds of humans,
but nearer to an experience, a gift not well suited to description,
a connection to our ecosystem which too many have forsaken.

Perhaps seeming paradoxical, both of these are Canada's treasure.

Loons appear to be east coast, but New Mexico gets thousands of migrating cranes.

Thanks for the link R5.
I totally enjoyed

Watch what happens when a Tesla Cybertruck gets into a head-on collision

Adorable!
BUT !

Are Birds Really Dinosaurs?

"yes"

Inside the Adirondack Park we have wild turkey. Not uncommon to see them alone, or in groups.
It may be subjective. But when I see them strutting about they often look prehistoric to me.

They have a reputation for being the most challenging quarry for hunters, more elusive than deer.
Both deer & turkey are prone to bolt at dawn or dusk.
They're a danger to me when I'm on 2 wheels (pedal or motor),
and a danger to themselves when I'm on 4.

Thank you S2.
Part of what's so charming about rednecks bustin' up stuff is the apparent absence of measurement equipment, accelerometers etc.
It's an expensive hobby. One Tesla truck costs about $100,000.oo fully charged.
Without the equipment, looks like they're just at it for fun.

Isn't that adorable!

I appreciate the broader spectrum of carnage as well.

Three Rednecks, Cooter, Pete and KC were working up on a cell tower when Cooter slipped, fell and died in agony a while after impact.
As the ambulance crew continued gathering the corpse remnants Pete mentioned to KC "Well, damn, someone should go and tell his wife."
KC says, "OK, I'm pretty good at that sensitive @#%$, I'll do it."
KC returns carrying a case of Schlitz.
Pete says, "Where did you get that beer, KC?"
"Cooter's wife gave it to me," KC replies.
That's unbelievable, you told the lady her husband was dead and she gave you beer?"
"Well, not exactly," KC says. "When she answered the door, I said to her, you must be Cooter's widow."
She said, "You must be mistaken, I'm not a widow."
Then I said, "I'll bet you a case of beer you are."
