If we improved our health care and took away the insurance monopolies, then we could cut our health care costs by more than half.
Then people would no longer be forced to look for alternatives like Canadian health care.
One of the reasons our health care system is so bad is that each insurance company has its own proprietary claims systems that special experts have to be hired for each insurance company the doctor wants to allow. That is a huge extra expense that does not even profit anyone.

There's a synergy between the loon's call, and the acoustics of the terrain,
an inkling of the message that in some parts of Canada isolation means more than merely
being away from crowds of humans,
but nearer to an experience, a gift not well suited to description,
a connection to our ecosystem which too many have forsaken.
Perhaps seeming paradoxical, both of these are Canada's treasure.
