It seems President Trump learned geography in the U.S. public school system, almost the worst in the world.

"It is my pleasure and my honor to announce my nomination of Jerome Powell." ~ Trump, 2017

"He's a terrible Fed chair. I was surprised he was appointed. I was surprised, frankly, that Biden put him in and extended him." ~ Trump, yesterday

"You know, they're standing there with no clothes. And you see these incredible-looking women. And so I sort of get away with things like that." ~ Trump, on visiting Miss Teen USA pageant dressing room

"I remember putting on my dress real quick, because I was like, 'Oh my god, there's a man in here.'" ~ Mariah Billado, Miss Vermont Teen USA

"Yeah, he does that." ~ Ivanka Trump, to Billado

Hey Look! Over There! A Pervert!
Let's elect him president!
TWICE !

"I absolutely love that Colbert got fired. His talent was even less than his ratings. I hear Jimmy Kimmel is next....Greg Gutfeld is better than all of them combined." ~ Trump

And everyone knows that the only reason this happened was so that Trump wouldn't oppose a merger

Non-New Yorkers may not know:
While New York State in political (partisan) aggregate is "blue", majority Democrat, that's mainly due to the high population concentration of Democrats in the Southern tier, including New York, New York, the city so nice they named it twice. BUT !
In terms of square miles, New York State is mostly rural, substantially Republican, and in my neighborhood substantially pro-Trump.

At an Independence Day garden party earlier this month I overheard guests commiserating over how such late night hosts as Colbert & Kimmel are not merely not worth watching, but intolerable.

This leads to a recent revelation of mine.
Previously I thought Democrats might avoid Republican bias as partisan just as Republicans might avoid Democrat bias. NOPE!
Apparently Republicans consider anything objectionably biased if it isn't entirely supportive of the Trump agenda.
Meaning broad spectrum satire of politics in general is considered by MAGAs as objectionable.

And everyone knows that the only reason this happened was so that Trump wouldn't oppose a merger
"a merger" of Paramount Global (including CBS) & Skydance Media, which President Trump reportedly has the authority to veto.

Facilitating, expediting this merger may merely be good business. BUT !
Is it worth sacrificing The Late Show ?
Sometimes in politics you have to rise above principle. Sen. Everett Dirksen
And in bidness as well Senator. But is the Paramount / Skydance merger one of them?

"Young [Name] +[Name]" ~ written on the labels of the compact discs the FBI removed from Epstein's mansion in 2019 #1,588
I'm not sure what to conclude from this #1,588.
It's standard practice for government to protect the identity of minor children?
That the fact that they're minor children is corroborated by the fact that they're demonstrably protected this way?
Other?

"She's just 17 and she's doing great -- Ivanka. She made me promise her, swear to her, that I would never date a girl younger than her. So as she grows, Howard, as she grows older, the field is getting very limited -- severely." ~ Trump, then 53, on The Howard Stern Show in 1999

"It's standard practice not to release the names of minors and rape victims." S2 #1,590
Thanks S2.
I recalled that of minors, but had forgotten it also applies to rape victims.

"Bill Clinton doesn't have a small penis. Geniffer Flowers has a big m o u t h !" comedian impersonating President Clinton in context of the Flowers scandal.

President Clinton was so rattled by this scandal he actually considered resigning his presidency, but he decided to stick it out a little longer. [/satire] -

"They haven't found anything that was abnormal... I spoke with the FBI -- the new FBI...If it was the old FBI I wouldn't believe a thing they said, because the old FBI under Comey was crooked as hell." ~ Trump, asked about updates on the assassination attempt against him

"We found absolute -- this isn't like 'evidence' or like -- this is proof, irrefutable proof that Obama was seditious, that Obama was trying to lead a coup, and with Hillary Clinton and all these other people, but Obama headed it up." ~ Trump

"We're going to get drug prices down -- not 30% or 40%, which would be great. Not 50% or 60%. No, we're going to get them down 1,000%, 600%, 500%, 1,500%, numbers that are not even thought to be achievable." ~ Trump, at White House event

IIRC not the first time Trump has made this >100% error.
Perhaps Trump is not referring to total retail price, but instead refers to only the portion of an updated price comprising the increase over the previous price.
A president, even an orange one should avoid such self-indicting errors.
Better to keep your mouth closed and be thought a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.

Q: "Have you ever socialized with Donald Trump in the presence of females under the age of 18?"

A: "Though I'd like to answer that question, at least today I'm going to have to assert my Fifth, Sixth, and 14th Amendment rights, sir."

-- Jeffrey Epstein, during a 2010 deposition

"NPR's been defunded. PBS has been defunded. Colbert is getting cancelled. You've got anchors and news media personalities losing their jobs. All of this is downstream of President Trump's decision. One of the things they are going to have to do is put an ombudsman in place for two years, basically a bias moderator that will report directly to the Presdient. That's something significant that we're going to see happen. ~ FCC Chairman Brendan Carr, on CBS

"[Trump is] so jealous of Obama, because Obama is everything that he is not -- trim, smart, handsome, happily married, and can sing Al Green's song 'Let's Stay Together' better than Al Green. And Trump cannot stand it. It's driving him crazy." ~ Joy Behar, co-host of The View

"[Behar] should self-reflect on her own jealousy of President Trump's historic popularity before her show is the next to be pulled off air." ~ White House, in response

So far it doesn't appear that Donnie hasn't managed to find a way to blackmail ABC like he did CBS when Colbert was pulled but give him time.

Kenny Rogers sang "... know when to fold 'em ..."
- I understand corporate board members are beholden to shareholders.
- I understand $millions are at stake.

None the less there's at least the appearance Colbert / Late Show was sacrificed for this merger. Seems artless to me. They couldn't find a 3rd way?
