For 99 pages What to call this thread? has detailed conflict of individuals that don't conform to narrow, limited perceptions of the norm.
For those that wish to do battle, enjoy. BUT !

Is the narrow-minded binary view not composed of two overlapping bell-curves?
Within the heterosexual subset of Earth's human population
isn't the burliest woman more muscular than the most frail man?

What to call this thread? may leave the impression non-conforming personalities must engage.
Why not instead be who we are, and let onlookers sort it out for themselves?

If "she" prefers short hair, and trousers, so be it.
If he prefers a skirt, choose the tartan insightfully.

* In fiction we may cheer for the underdog. But in real life?

The Sad Reality of Ignoring Trans Kids:

By pretending that trans kids don’t exist or telling them they can’t transition until they hit the age of 18, what are we doing? We’re creating trans people who can’t transition out of their bodies.

When a male, for example, goes through male puberty, many of these men develop physical characteristics that they’ll never successfully be able to transition out of.

Then society tells these trans women that they’re ugly, that they don’t pass, and that they shouldn’t go into women’s spaces. The media looks at them and says, “Look at this person. Do you want to be like that? That’s not a real woman.”

Understand, this happens because we are ignoring the suggested pathways for trans kids.

Typically, it’s recommended that a trans child who persistently identifies as transgender would start therapy between the ages of 9 and 12.

They would have therapy for about three years and then start two years of reversible hormone blockers. This creates another window of two years so that the trans person can make the final decision about whether they want to go through hormone replacement therapy.

The goal, especially for a trans woman, is to prevent the late stages of male puberty.

When we say a trans child has to wait until they’re 18, what are we saying?

18 to 23 is when a young person should be going to college, starting a family, and becoming who they’re meant to be as an adult—not trying to transition a body that is now at a point where it is likely going to be much more difficult to change.

This is not medical science. This is ideology, destroying the lives of trans children. Then, when the trans child grows up into a body they can’t transition out of, society turns its back on these people and treats them like they’re unwanted or like there’s something wrong with them.

They should have been allowed to identify themselves early on, and they should have been given access to recommended medical treatment that will prepare them to have a successful life.

We’re not talking about surgeries before 18. Nobody believes that is the way to go.

We’re talking about preventing male puberty, so a trans woman will likely be able to thrive as an adult.

July 2025: DOJ sued California and the organization that runs its high school sports. The demand was that transgender girls be barred from girls' teams. The leverage was $44 billion in federal education money.

To prove harm, DOJ built its case around five transgender kids. It tracked their meets. It tracked their finishing times, event by event.

Monday, Judge Cynthia Valenzuela dismissed it with prejudice. The regime can't refile.

She never reached the government's arguments about Title IX. She didn't have to.

The Constitution's Spending Clause says Washington can only attach conditions to federal money if it tells states those conditions exist before they take it. Nobody ever told California. Her order walks through a decade of the federal government reversing its own position and finds officials "repeatedly gave materially different answers" about what the law required.

The government lost on a technicality it created itself.
Forty-four billion dollars in leverage, aimed at five kids who wanted to play. It didn't work.

I love this photo. This is a picture of the top women athletes for every sport. Any time I get dysphoric about being too tall, I peek back at this. Look how much variance there is! Look how all of the "biological advantages" they think trans folks have for sports is on FULL DISPLAY from CIS athletes and has been for decades and decades. No matter how hard we practice and train and commit ourselves to a sport, we are not allowed to win, and it's very evocative of early 1900s calls to segregate sports by race because of black folks' "biological advantage".

Semi-related, but this is also part of why I say, if you have a trans woman character in a show or movie and can't get a trans actress, there are SO MANY cis women with stereotypically "masculine" features that would signal to an audience that their character isn't cis, while still being affirming by having a woman play a woman. The opposite is also true, if you have a trans man character who can't be played by a trans man, get a cis guy. In both cases, the matching identity actor will be SIGNIFICANTLY closer in appearance to someone who's actually trans than portraying a caricature that conveys that trans people are always just their birth gender wearing a costume.

People act like there's this tiny, tiny cross-section of "allowed" appearances for each gender to be accepted as that gender, and it's like damn dog, go outside and look around. People are so, so much more varied and beautifully unique than that. I know it's hard, but be kind to yourself.
