These meme has me on edge S2.
The similar postures, back to back.

I am NOT pro-abortion. Some of the anti-choice rhetoric may have some merit. BUT !
I'm pro-choice.

I'm disgusted with the hypocrites that claim to admire / support noble conservative principles:
- smaller, less intrusive, less authoritarian government, BUT !
Find a social issue and the neo-cons & pseudo-cons demand big authoritarian government solutions.
They do that about deporting non-citizens.
They do that about abortion.
They do that about LGBTQ.

"I want to live in a country where the existence of an UNBORN fetus does not outweigh the LIFE of a 10- year-old girl." #202
... a 10- year-old girl, or her parents.

"Woke is no insult. It means awakened by compassion. humbled by grace. committed to justice, not just for some, but for all." Pope Leo XIV #207
Holy Father:
In literal-minded simplicity you are correct.
But the fact remains, "woke" is used precisely as an insult.

"Woke" is an expression of dismissive contempt used as an insult by those whose sociopolitical positions are antithetical to reasoned conclusions. Why?

Because the application of reason threatens, undermines the MAGA agenda.

Since they can't logically, legitimately, persuasively debate, advocate for their position, they dismiss that do not share it.

LOST in SPACE

Senior Trekies whose childhood appetite for sci-fi was whet by Lost in Space may recall the "chariot", a full-scale prop. based on Ford Econoline van.

It has been a while. BUT !
The series may have been Lost in Space, but the fantasy hasn't.

Utah is killing the Great Salt Lake
Profligate waste and perverse tax incentives are drying up the West’s largest natural body of water.
Wade Graham August 11, 2026
The Great Salt Lake is the largest natural lake west of the Mississippi River and the largest saltwater lake in the Western Hemisphere. It historically covered between 1,700 and 2,000 square miles, depending on annual precipitation, before large-scale river diversions began in the 20th century. As a major source of water in the middle of the arid Western U.S., it is the single most important node on the Pacific Flyway that connects South America to the Arctic, which hosts more than 10 million annual migrating birds representing more than 230 species. Its critical importance to avian life cannot be overstated: It supports up to 60% of the world’s Wilson’s phalaropes, ...

"up to 60%"
