BREAKING: MEDICAL QUACKERY! RFK Jr. sparks BACKLASH after telling anti-vaccine conference that measles deaths shouldn't get more attention than "vaccine injuries."

What does it say about the American government under Trump that we now have a Health Secretary who downplays measles deaths in favor of peddling unscientific myths about the harms that vaccines supposedly cause and then goes on to say that he’ll be investigating that favorite target of conspiracy mongers: chemtrails?

Speaking at the Children's Health Defense conference — the anti-vaccine group he once chaired — Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. suggested that America's attention to children dying from measles is somehow unfair to the cause of vaccine skepticism.

"We care about every child who dies from measles. They get headlines," Kennedy said. "We should care about the children, shouldn't we, I'd ask you, care about children who are dying or suffering or being injured by vaccine injuries."

Who would ever think that it would come to this? The sitting Secretary of Health and Human Services, at a rally for the organization he built his career on, effectively complained that dead children from a preventable disease are getting too much media attention, while framing unsubstantiated "vaccine injuries" as the real overlooked crisis.

Context matters here, and it's damning. This year marks America's worst measles outbreak in over 30 years, driven directly by declining vaccination rates that Kennedy's own rhetoric has helped fuel. Children ARE dying, preventably, from a disease medical science eliminated decades ago through vaccination, the exact intervention Kennedy has spent his career attacking.

Kennedy didn't stop there. He also devoted stage time to military food quality, touting menu changes at bases and local sourcing initiatives, and pivoted to promising "rigorous science transparency" on chemtrails, the long-debunked conspiracy theory claiming that aircraft emissions are secretly harming public health. Chemtrails have been repeatedly, thoroughly disproven by atmospheric scientists for decades. That's the caliber of "science" the man running America's health agency chose to platform.

This is who's currently overseeing the CDC's vaccine guidance, America's response to disease outbreaks, and public health policy for over 340 million people: a man who, at a friendly conference of fellow vaccine skeptics, minimized the deaths of children from measles while amplifying grievances about vaccine safety that mainstream medical science has repeatedly found unsupported by evidence.

Children are dying from a disease we already knew how to stop. The person in charge of protecting them is instead relitigating conspiracy theories and complaining that dead kids are getting too much sympathy. We are now truly living in Bizarro land!
