The Second Term of Donald J. Trump as President of the United States of America

That worm is working overtime

The current sterile form of farming destroys the soil by killing all the micro organisms that digest mulch.
{...

Regenerative Agriculture is built on 5 principles:

  1. Keep the soil surface covered (Cover crops, mulch cover, etc)
  2. Try to limit the amount of physical and chemical disturbance of the soil as much as possible (Also known as No Till/ No Dig)
  3. Increased Biodiversity
  4. Keeping roots living below the soil (Perennial systems)

The recall of 27,324 packages of white rice over possible contamination with foreign material is just the latest incident raising concerns about what families can safely put on their tables.

First, it was ground beef.

Then rice.

Then vegetables.

Then warnings about water quality.

Meanwhile, ordinary families are expected to keep track of recalls, contamination alerts, and safety notices — all while dealing with already rising food prices.

To be clear, one recall does not mean all rice, beef, vegetables, or drinking water are unsafe. But when these stories keep piling up, public trust can start to disappear.

People shouldn’t have to investigate every ingredient before preparing a simple meal.

Safe food and clean drinking water should be basic expectations in any functioning society.

When everyday necessities begin to feel uncertain, frustration is inevitable.

So honestly, how is any of this supposed to feel normal?
