Trump says he’ll protect time slot for Army-Navy game by executive order

President Trump on Saturday said he will sign an executive order to secure an “EXCLUSIVE” four-hour time slot for the annual Army-Navy college football game in December.
“The Army-Navy Game is one of our Greatest American Traditions — Unmatched Patriotism, Courage, and Honor!” Trump posted on
Truth Social. “This incredible Tradition is now at risk of being pushed aside by more College Playoff Games, and Big TV Money. NOT ANYMORE!
He wrote that he will sign the executive order “soon,” adding that “No other Game or Team can violate this Time Slot!!!”
“On the field, they are rivals, but on the battlefield they are America’s unstoppable Patriots, defending our Country with tremendous Strength and Heart,” the president wrote. “We must protect the Tradition, and the Players, who protect us. Please let this serve as Notice to ALL Television Networks, Stations, and Outlets.”
Trump, a known football fan, appeared at the 126th Army-Navy game at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore
last month. He shook hands with players and team captains on the field before the game.
At the 50-yard-line, Trump tossed a coin to determine who would decide whether to kick or receive first. The Army won the toss.
The president spent equal time with the Navy side and the Army side, switching from one side of the stadium to the other during halftime. Trump returned to the field and tossed ....
