The Second Term of Donald J. Trump as President of the United States of America

"Meloni's savage comeback!" #2,360
Getting squelched is embarrassing.
Getting squelched by a woman, even worse?
Getting squelched by a blonde woman, worse still?

Well, in Trump's defense, her hair is not naturally blonde. BUT !
Trump's face isn't naturally orange. I guess it evens out, somehow.

The ICE Officer who killed Renee Good fired 3 times. The first shot might be considered Self Defense. The 2 remaining shots (as you can see) had nothing to do with self defense. He simply Murdered Her! The image is a screen shot from an ABC video that I ran through a feature in Photoshop called "Super Resolution" 3 times. It definitely shows what happened as she tried to get away.

Two 17-year-old U.S. citizen employees, including one named Christian, were detained by federal border agents at a Target store in Richfield, Minnesota. The incident, which occurred while the teens were working, has sparked protests and accusations of kidnapping and abuse. Video footage shows Customs and Border Protection agents swarming the Target and pinning Christian to the floor before taking him into custody. According to local community groups and activists, both employees are minors and U.S. citizens, with Christian allegedly having his passport in his pocket when seized

I know of no law requiring U.S. citizens to carry identification in public.
Do we need such law?
If a citizen displayed such identity as government agents approached, might it avoid trouble?

Not in all cases.
The following murder occurred when the student reached for and displayed his identification.

Killing of Amadou Diallo

In the early hours of February 4, 1999, an unarmed 23-year-old Guinean student named Amadou Diallo (born September 2, 1975) was struck with 19 of 41 rounds fired by four New York City Police Department plainclothes officers: Sean Carroll, Richard Murphy, Edward McMellon, and Kenneth Boss. Carroll later claimed to have mistaken Diallo for a rape suspect from one year earlier.
The four officers, who were part of the Street Crime Unit, which had expanded in size under mayor Rudy Giuliani, were charged with second-degree murder and acquitted at trial in Albany, New York. A firestorm of controversy erupted after the event, as the circumstances of the shooting prompted outrage both within and beyond New York City. Issues such as police brutality, racial profiling, and contagious shooting were central to the ensuing controversy. More from Wikipedia

Why does that remind me of a corny WWII movie with the Gestapo saying "Show me your papers"?

There are any number of cases where ICE agents have refused to look at someone's ID. Or claimed it was fake.

The problem of with requiring each person to have identification and allowing government agents to demand to see it, is that then the government can use that information to target protestors with illegal, trumped up or fake charges.
It is government agents who need to identify themselves, not ordinary citizens or protestors.
Government agents are only supposed to be authorized to make any demands like that if there was probable cause a crime was committed.

The real reason the Trump cartel wants Greenland

1768312604103.png

Beneath Greenland's vast ice sheet lies one of Earth's most ancient geological treasures: a bedrock archive stretching back more than 3.8 billion years, rich in critical and strategic minerals that are increasingly vital to modern technology and the global energy transition.

This immense island, part of the ancient North Atlantic Craton, preserves some of the planet's oldest continental crust, shaped by billions of years of tectonic processes, volcanic activity, and rifting. Embedded within these rocks are significant concentrations of rare earth elements (REEs) such as neodymium and dysprosium—key components in permanent magnets for electric vehicle motors, wind turbine generators, and consumer electronics like smartphones.

Beyond REEs, Greenland hosts a diverse array of valuable deposits, including:

- Gold, platinum-group metals, and zinc
- Iron ore in ancient banded iron formations
- Lithium, tantalum, and niobium in pegmatites
- Diamonds in kimberlite pipes
- Uranium (though mining has faced restrictions due to environmental and regulatory concerns)

Southern Greenland stands out particularly, with the Gardar Province featuring unique ....

"trumped up" "charges", delicate choice of words.

OK R5,
That surely is a risk, BUT !
I've never seen a one-sided coin.
- We already know how citizens can die within the status quo.
- Even King Kanute can't hold back the tide.

"In framing a government which is to be administered by men over men, the great difficulty is in this: you must first enable the government to control the governed, and in the next place, oblige it to control itself." James Madison

Do we have the luxury of passive decision-making ("passive" decision-making can include failing to decide, which means to accept the status quo)?
We shouldn't static model this. Along with proliferating A.I., biometric government surveillance is expanding, along with other tracking technologies such as cell-phone tracking, license plate readers, etc.

You can see the Madison quotation above. Are the People losing this contest?

Unfortunately, in many cases this distinction can be subjective.

Trump says he needs Greenland for national security.
So can / will Putin / Russia claim need of Alaska for national security?
