"Media personality".
He was.
She wasn't.

That may NOT be the reason. But,
if not that, what?

Sweetheart,
does that nose come with those glasses?

Think it through.
It seems unlikely Interpol would send a team in, scuffle or battle with President Trump's Secret Service detail, arrest the POTUS, and put him on trial for this violation of international law. BUT !
The U.S. may be subject to sanctions from our trade partners for harboring a murderer.

Hernandez, who was serving a 45-year sentence for drug conspiracy, received ‘full and unconditional pardon’, lawyer says.

Authorities in the United States have released former Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernandez, who was serving a lengthy prison sentence for drug trafficking, after US President Donald Trump pardoned him.
Hernandez’s lawyer, Renato Stabile, confirmed that the former Honduran president was freed on Tuesday, a day after being pardoned.

It does seem odd that Trump would pretend to be serious enough about Drug War to commit murder in international water, while simultaneously pardoning this drug kingpin.

Thanks Brad, & S2.

From my FB feed I'm singularly unimpressed with Trump's kids but this rules the internet

ILHAN OMAR CALLS IVANKA TRUMP “STUPID” ON NATIONAL TV… THEN 19 YEAR OLD BARRON TRUMP ENDS HER WITH A SINGLE SENTENCE Live on MSNBC’s prime-time town hall, Representative Ilhan Omar decided to take a swing at the Trump family. Spotting Barron Trump seated quietly in the front row (there as a guest of the network to discuss youth voter turnout), Omar couldn’t resist. She flashed her trademark smirk and went for the cheap shot: “Honestly, it’s almost impressive how the entire Trump family can be so breathtakingly stupid. I mean, look at Ivanka; beautiful resume, zero brain cells. And now we have the son here just… taking up space.” The audience tittered nervously. Cameras zoomed in on Barron, expecting the usual silence from the famously reserved 19-year-old. Instead, Barron leaned forward, adjusted his mic with the calm of someone ordering coffee, and spoke one crystal-clear sentence that detonated in the studio like a precision strike: “Congresswoman, my sister graduated summa cum laude from Georgetown and speaks five languages. You still can’t pronounce ‘covert’ correctly after six years in office. Maybe sit this one out.” Dead. Silence. Omar’s smile evaporated so fast it looked digitally erased. Her mouth opened, closed, opened again; nothing came out. The moderator’s eyes went wide. The control room audibly gasped over the hot mics. In eight seconds flat, the exchange was over. The clip exploded across every platform within minutes: 42 million views in the first hour, 180 million by morning. BarronDestroysOmar trended worldwide as memes of Omar’s frozen face flooded timelines. Backstage, staffers later said Omar stormed out muttering, “Who the hell let him have a mic?!” Barron? He just stood up, gave a polite nod to the stunned host, and walked off set like he had somewhere better to be. One sentence. One mic drop. One congresswoman publicly dismantled by a teenager who barely raised his voice. The internet crowned him king for the week, and the clip is still on endless repeat.

Presidents Roosevelt were each notable, though neither much like the other.
The U.S. is not unknown to political dynasty, Adams, Bush, etc.

Is Donald the dunce merely thin edge of the wedge for Barron the brilliant?
Donald is a raging bull in a china shop. Imagine how much worse it might be if the Donald had an IQ closer to the presidential median.

If Hegseth was watching the whole thing LIVE, why not stop the second strike on survivors—a move that he knew was illegal under U.S. and international law? #1,971
Normally we might expect Secretary Hegseth to know whether or not it's illegal. BUT !
Hegseth did not acquire his office the way his predecessors did. It seems President Trump say Hegseth on FOX and liked what he saw. Turns out that's not much of a qualification.

It may be that Hegseth is willing to bash through norms and international law, confident that even if convicted, Hegseth will be pardoned by President Trump.

It seems they've found their patsy:

Meet the Navy admiral the Trump admin. says is responsible for 'double-tap' incident

The Trump administration is laying responsibility for a second strike that killed Venezuela boat strike survivors on Bradley rather than on Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.

This is sickening.

In the Trump administration moral / ethical abyss, there is literally no bottom. Is that really a surprise?
The unfathomable mystery: how could so many millions of voters be so beguiled by this conspicuous flagrant charlatan?

char·la·tan (shärlə-tən)
n.
A person who makes elaborate, fraudulent, and often voluble claims to skill or knowledge; a quack or fraud.
[French, from Italian ciarlatano, probably alteration (influenced by ciarlare, to prattle) of cerretano, inhabitant of Cerreto, a city of Italy once famous for its quacks.]

Family of victim in Trump drug boat killings files first formal complaint

Aram Roston in Washington / Tue, December 2, 2025 at 4:00 PM EST
A family in Colombia filed a petition on Tuesday with the Washington DC-based Inter-American Commission on Human Rights, alleging that the Colombian citizen Alejandro Carranza Medina was illegally killed in a US airstrike on 15 September.
The petition marks the first formal complaint over the airstrikes by the Trump administration against suspected drug boats, attacks that the White House says are justified under a novel interpretation of law.

We're 5 years into Donald J. Trump being CEO of the USA.
According to the Constitution Trump swore an oath of fidelity to our Constitution twice:
UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION: ARTICLE2. SECTION 1. 7
Before he enter on the Execution of his Office, he shall take the following Oath or Affirmation:-
"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."
Some may wish to note: "... so help me god." is not enumerated text for this oath, though most presidential inaugurations in the past 50 years have included them.

Trump has his critics. Though some of their arguments against Trump may seem sensible, in Trump's half-decade of rule, he seems to have evaded justice, meaning avoided the legal consequences the rest of us would be more likely to suffer, if any of us did what Trump has done.

Many times before objective observers might have perceived a new Trump action as "different", that unlike all the others Trump has gotten away with, this one seems sure to take Trump down.

Here it is, December 2025. There are bipartisan stirrings in congress about the murders at sea Trump / Hegseth are trying to pin on Adm. Frank 'Mitch' Bradley. [see post #1,974]

President Harry Truman, reportedly the most recent to serve as president without benefit of college degree, disliked institutional dysfunction.
Truman understood how many in charge would "pass the buck" rather than solve a problem directly. On Truman's Oval Office desk, "The Buck Stops Here".
“The buck stops with everybody.” U.S. President Trump 19/01/10 when asked on camera by a female reporter “Does the buck stop with you over this shutdown?”
If you don't like "the butler did it" spoilers, ignore the rest of this post.

It looks like Trump is going to get away with murder, again.
