The Second Term of Donald J. Trump as President of the United States of America

BREAKING: Congressman Robert Garcia of the powerful House Oversight Committee announces plans to investigate Trump's pet fascist Stephen Miller, calling him the "biggest piece of sh*t in America."

And it gets even better...

"Essentially dehumanizing immigrants so that they’re less than human is Stephen Miller doing what he loves to do, which is be, essentially, the biggest piece of sh*t in this country," Garcia said during an interview with Pod Save America’s Jon Favreau. "Stephen Miller should be ashamed of the way he is acting. I can’t even believe he’s from our state."

Miller is widely understood to be the architect of Trump's most extreme anti-immigrant policies and a major advocate for

This one’s for my fellow Canadians, and for my American friends peeking over the fence to see what this tech tax is all about."This Tuesday, July 1st, marks Canada’s 158th birthday. And while the fireworks and face paint will be out in full force, I’ll be keeping it simple. I’ll be sitting with my own gratitude. Gratitude for having had the privilege, not the luxury, the privilege, of visiting or living in every province and territory in this country. Not just flying over, not just ticking a box, but really being there.

From ferry terminals in Newfoundland to frozen airstrips in Nunavut, to the shores of Vancouver Island and yes, even downtown Winnipeg in February. That’s not a brag.

That’s a love story.

Because once you’ve seen this country, really seen it, you don’t just understand Canada. You feel it in your bones. And maybe that’s why I take it personally when a human thundercloud from the south decides to try and muscle us around on the eve of our national holiday.

Enter Donald J. Trump, stage far-right, with a Friday afternoon meltdown that absolutely no one asked for. In his infinite insecurity, Trump announced, from his personal echo chamber, Truth Social, that he is suspending all trade negotiations with Canada. Why? Because Canada is implementing a Digital Services Tax.

Let’s be clear: this isn’t a tariff. It’s a 3% tax on massive digital platforms, Google, Meta, Amazon, X, or other digital companies that make more than $20 million annually from Canadian users. The law has been in the works for years, passed through Parliament, and delayed only while countries debated a global approach. First payments are due June 30th, and it’s retroactive to 2022. So no, this wasn’t sudden. It was scheduled.

Why the outburst now? Because someone in Northern California, maybe Zuckerberg, maybe another tech billionaire who isn't used to paying tax anywhere, picked up the phone. And Trump, never one to miss a cue from a donor, did what he does best: threw a fit. Probably exacerbated because he’s stuck in D.C. this weekend trying to pass his 'Big Beautiful Bill' with no golf cart in sight ....

"In the fevered state of our country, no good can ever result from any attempt to set one of these fiery zealots to rights, either in factor principle. They are determined as to the facts they will believe, and the opinions on which they will act. Get by them, therefore, as you would by an angry bull; it is not for a man of sense to dispute the road with such an animal." Thomas Jefferson (1743-1826), U.S. president. GOODBYE

With the shocking messages about his plans for Gaza and the Palestinians, coupled with his ongoing threats of tarrifs and threats to making Canada the 51st state, Pete McMartin of the Vancouver Sun captures what most Canadians are feeling right now. Farewell “My American Cousin”.

“Goodbye, America.

It’s been nice knowing you.

Goodbye New York, and your Jewish delicatessens with corned beef sandwiches stacked as high as your skyline.

Goodbye Detroit, my boyhood neighbour, and so long to Tiger Stadium, the Detroit Institute of Arts and Motown.

Goodbye Bellingham, Seattle and Portland — how I’ll miss my Cascadian cousins with our shared Pacific sensibilities. And while I’m at it, goodbye to ....

Trump Ignores Funeral Service for Victims of MAGA Madman

Liam Archacki / Sat, June 28, 2025 at 6:49 PM EDT·3 min read
President Donald Trump skipped the funeral of slain Minnesota lawmaker Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark.
Among the hundreds in attendance at the service were former President Joe Biden and former Vice President Kamala Harris, who paid their respects to the couple slain in what authorities say was a plot targeting Democrats.

Is this a surprise? Trump justified his pardon of his Jan.6 co-conspirators on premise they had been "treated unfairly", Trump's euphemism for our judicial process.

BREAKING: Donald Trump demolishes our national greatness as a stunning new poll reveals that a record-low number of adults now say that they are proud to be American.
The Fourth of July is going to look a lot different this year...

According to Gallop, just 58% of people say that they are "extremely or very proud" to be American, representing a 9% drop from 2024 and a 5% drop from the previous low in 2020.

Not surprisingly, the largest drop was observed amongst .....

Shift's observation, self-reporting, especially when there may be real or perceived negative consequence (even if the survey is supposedly anonymous) generally results in under reporting. In this case that would mean that more than 42% of the populace did not say that they were very or extremely proud. How much more is anyone's guess but even without adjusting for that nearly half of Americans are not particularly proud to be American - correcting for that probably says that half of Americans ....

Meet the parents of the Idaho mass shooter, who lit a forest fire so he could shoot firefighters as they bravely ran into danger.

The most striking aspect of living in America is how atrocities have become a daily occurrence.

The places change. The weapons change. The victims also range from middle class to working poor, immigrants, Black people going to church, Black people shopping for groceries, Jewish people at synagogue, kids in school. But the perpetrators are always the same. According to the FBI, 100% of extremist acts in 2022 were committed by right-wing operatives. In any given year, the figure fluctuates between 95% and 100%.

Trump's political movement has captured the energy of the most unhinged and violent people among us, and sadly there are tens of millions of them. Not every Trump voter is a MAGA terrorist, but near every damn MAGA terrorist is a Trumpster. Those are facts, you can take it up with the FBI if you have a problem with that data.

BREAKING: Donald Trump has a humiliating meltdown like an old man who can’t figure out how to work technology and attacks AT&T after his “major Conference Call with Faith Leaders” implodes.

How is this the man entrusted with our nuclear codes?

“I’m doing a major Conference Call with Faith Leaders from all over the Country, and AT&T is totally unable to make their equipment work properly,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

“This is the second time it’s happened. If the Boss of AT&T, whoever that may be, could get involved — It would be good. There are tens of thousands of people on the line!”

Not satisfied with just one undignified outburst over the unspecified technical difficulties, Trump followed up with another.

“I apologize for the long wait on the Faith Leaders Conference Call. AT&T ought to get its act together,” he wrote. “Please pass along the word to the tens of thousands of people who are there. We may have to reschedule the call, but we’ll use another carrier the next time. AT&T obviously doesn’t know what they’re doing!”

Imagine for a moment if Barack Obama or Joe Biden had thrown a public tantrum over something as petty as a conference call. Republicans repeatedly asserted that Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris were too emotional for the White House because they’re women. Now we’re saddled with a president who falls to pieces over minor inconveniences.

It’s also worth noting that the Trump’s Organization struck a massive deal earlier this month to license his name to an American mobile service provider and $499 cell phone called “Trump Mobile.” This unabashedly corrupt president now has a direct incentive to attack and drive down the stock prices of companies like AT&T. As is so often the case with Trump, this smear campaign may just come down to greed.
