Swindle? Air Conditioners That Defy The Laws Of Physics ?

A comparison of a few such units:

Home centers seem to be prioritizing promotion of such units.

They're advertised as light weight, low cost, but don't seem to list any practical specification such as a BTU rating, as a conventional A/C unit does.

A conventional air conditioner is a heat pump. It absorbs heat from indoors, and expels it to the outdoor environment.
To make it cooler indoors, it makes it hotter outdoors.

These units don't seem to vent to out of the room being cooled.

It would seem like an obvious con-game, except that their promotion seems widespread.

So far, this one's a mystery to me.
