Trump's lifetime appointment should accompany his change of address, from 1600 Penn Ave to Leavenworth prison. He won't be the only murderer there.

What is the argument for holding voting to a lesser standard than buying a quart of silk? Because electoral outcomes are less important than putting a dairy cow out of work?

This may be guile. Or it may be ignorance. Either way there's more than one possible reason.
For example, countless examples in history of ballot access being obstructed by various means, including voter ID.

Mr. President: Vote legitimacy, insuring that all eligible voters that wish to cast a ballot are able to do so under reasonable terms is an outcome objective.
