Quotable Quotes

"One thing with Obama, I had zero respect for him as a President, but he would bop down those stairs...Da-da, da-da, da-da, bop, bop, bop. He'd go down the stairs. Wouldn't hold on. I said, 'It's great. I don't want to do it.' I guess I could do it, but eventually, bad things are going to happen, and it only takes once. But he did a lousy job as president. A year ago, we were a dead country." ~ Trump, to hundreds of US military leaders summoned from around the world

"I'll be meeting with President Xi, of China, in four weeks, and Soybeans will be a major topic of discussion. MAKE SOYBEANS, AND OTHER ROW CROPS, GREAT AGAIN!" ~ Trump

Senator Ted Cruz [R TX] appears to defend pedophiles.
#1,700 & #1,703
Defending pedophilia is indefensible. Advocating bipartisan cooperation toward that objective, even worse.
So much so, conspicuously so, this report suggests a complication. Perhaps Sen. Ted misspoke?
The following links to an article which seems intended to explain the inexplicable.

A deflection that explains what Senator Cruz [R-TX] had instead intended to say might be more persuasive.
If such explanation is present here, or elsewhere, where? What? When? https://www.congress.gov/member/ted-cruz/C001098

"I consider the media to be indispensable to democracy. We need an independent media to hold people like me to account. Power can be very addictive, and it can be corrosive. And it's important for the media to call to account people who abuse their power, whether it be here or elsewhere. One of the things I spent a lot of time doing was trying to convice a person like Vladimir Putin, for example, to accept the notion of an independent press. It's kind of hard to tell others to have an independent free press when we're not willing to have one ourselves." ~ George W. Bush, asked in 2017 if he'd ever considered the media to be "the enemy of the people," as Trump frequently claimed

"The gangbangers that you deal with -- they think they're ruthless? They have no idea how ruthless we are. They think they're tough? They have no idea how tough we are. They think they're hardcore? We are so much more hardcore than they are. You are unleashed." ~ Stephen Miller, to ICE agents

"Bad Bunny says America has four months to learn Spanish before his perverse unwanted performance at the Super Bowl halftime. It would be a good time to pass my bill to make English the official language of America." ~ Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene

"Bad Bunny ... unwanted performance" r. M #1,709
You need a dictionary Marj. Consult the definition "popular".

"... a good time to pass my bill to make English the official language of America." ~ Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene #1,709

And while you're at it, why not also make the metric system the official measurement standard?

You're a twit Marjo, no news there.
The alarm, the disgrace is the electorate in your district.

"There is so much about the moment that is trying to make people feel like they've lost their minds, when in fact these motherf*ckers are crazy." ~ Kamala Harris on Trump administration

"There is so much about the moment that is trying to make people feel like they've lost their minds, when in fact these motherf*ckers are crazy." ~ Kamala Harris on Trump administration
The United States of America is in unprecedented Constitutional crisis.
The Republican party rather than fulfilling its conservative traditions has gone all in with a charlatan.

The Democrats including Kamala Harris, ostensibly loyal opposition appears substantially leaderless, providing little more than the perfunctory minimum.

The nation needs faithful, constructive leadership & inspiration, not vulgar name-calling. If you can't help slice through the chaotic cacophony KamHar, please at least don't add to it.
