The United States has approved another $20bn in weapons transfers to Israel, despite concerns that Israeli forces are routinely violating international law in Gaza and the occupied West Bank.
The State Department announced on Tuesday that Secretary of State Antony Blinken had approved the arms sale, which includes dozens of fighter jets alongside tank munitions and air-to-air missiles.

  Fox News' Mike Tobin reports on the injuries to as many as 1,000 Hezbollah operatives.

At least nine people were killed and thousands of others were injured when handheld pagers exploded across Lebanon on Tuesday in an apparent targeting of Hezbollah members, according to Hezbollah officials.
Lebanon's state-run National News Agency initially reported that "the handheld pagers system was detonated using advanced technology, and dozens of injuries were reported" in Beirut’s southern suburbs and other areas. Lebanon’s health minister later said at least nine people were killed and 2,750 wounded — 200 of them critically.
Among those injured when the pagers exploded included Iran's ambassador in Lebanon, Iranian state media reported.

There may be elements of truth in #8, but let's not overlook, it's an imperfect comparison / contrast.

Ukraine's borders and sovereignty were well established, and long recognized. The Russian invasion isn't premised on Biblical scripture, but territorial greed. Russia already has plenty of territory.

The Palestinian / Israeli issue is more complicated, including that the Palestinian charter denies Israel's right to exist.

UNITED NATIONS (AP) — Weaponizing ordinary communication devices represents a new development in warfare, and targeting thousands of Lebanese people using pagers, two-way radios and electronic equipment without their knowledge is a violation of international human rights law, the United Nations human rights chief said Friday.
Volker Türk told an emergency meeting of the U.N. Security Council there must be an independent and transparent investigation of the two attacks in Lebanon on Tuesday and Wednesday where these devices exploded, reportedly killing 37 people and injuring more than 3,400 others.
“Those who ordered and carried out these attacks must be held to account,” he said.
