Yes Elon, and it may have continued to be true until several years before Trump reached puberty. But:

Elon, bud-A, can't the $wealthiest man in the solar-system afford a Stetson? A Fedora? A Bowler? A fashionable camo pork pie?
Or is your intended fashion statement $Billionaires are exempt from matters of good taste?

"Before its launch, Tesla had said the Cybertruck had a list of early reservations over 1 million names long. Yet they only sold approximately 40,000 in 2024, their first full year in production — less than 10% of Musk's stated goal of 500,000 units annually.
"I think it's fairly clear that the Cybertruck is a flop," wrote the Electrek article's author, Fred Lambert.

Washington bill ends clergy loophole: Confessions no longer shield child abusers

If the governor signs the bill, Catholic priests will have to report confessions of abuse

This might seem like good news. Why shield child abusers? Right?

For starters this would breach the separation between Church & State.
Second, it would be likely to diminish the candor in the confessional, but may not necessarily diminish the abuse.

The result:
Preserve the sanctity of the confessional and the government may not play a direct role. But the Church can.

Report: Tesla Turning Down Cybertruck Trade-ins

By Sean Tucker 04/07/2025 11:45am
Tesla is not interested in trying to resell your Tesla. The company has begun turning down Cybertrucks as trade-in vehicles, according to a new report.

Sales of all Tesla vehicles peaked in February 2023 and have seen a worldwide slump amid controversy over CEO Elon Musk’s involvement in politics in several countries. Protesters now camp out at Tesla dealerships and factories on multiple continents most days — an unprecedented situation in the auto industry sure to keep potential buyers away from stores. https://www.kbb.com/car-news/report-tesla-turning-down-cybertruck-trade-ins/

Easter - Christian commemoration of the resurrection of Jesus

Easter, also called Pascha (Aramaic, Greek, Latin) or Resurrection Sunday, is a Christian festival and cultural holiday commemorating the resurrection of Jesus from the dead ...

Easter and its related holidays are moveable feasts, not falling on a fixed date; its date is computed based on a lunisolar calendar (solar year plus Moon phase) similar to the Hebrew calendar, generating a number of controversies. The First Council of Nicaea (325) established common Paschal observance by all Christians on the first Sunday after the first full moon on or after the vernal equinox. Even if calculated on the basis of the Gregorian calendar, the date of that full moon sometimes differs from that of the astronomical first full moon after the March equinox.

Easter traditions vary across the Christian world, and include ... the communal breaking of Easter eggs (a symbol of the empty tomb). More from Wikipedia

BREAKING: MAGA Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene enrages Catholics around the world by gleefully celebrating the death of the beloved Pope Francis.

This so-called Christian has nothing but hate in her heart...

The Vatican announced earlier today that Pope Francis had passed away at the age of 88. His death is being mourned by billions around the world and he leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and outspoken advocacy for the downtrodden of the world.

Francis was widely despised by right-wingers because he warned of the dangers of climate change and called for the humane treatment of migrants, just as Christ himself would have.

Greene made her vile thoughts known on X—
"Today there were major shifts in global leaderships. Evil is being defeated by the hand of God," Greene tweeted out on X.

The post was immediately interpreted by most as a swipe at Pope Francis.

Her use of the word "shifts" has led some to believe that she was also celebrating the announcement that Klaus Schwab, founder of the World Economic Forum, would be stepping down from leading the organization's board. He, like Francis, is a favorite bugaboo of conservatives.

Greene hasn't been shy about her hatred of the Catholic Church in the past and accused it of being "controlled by Satan," an ironic criticism coming from a woman who is a diehard supporter of Donald Trump.

Of course, this is what the Republican Party stands for. They attack and smear anyone who suggests that their cruel and evil policies are actually cruel and evil. They hated this pope because he refused to remain silent in the face of their rising fascism.

In the end, history will smile on Pope Francis and revile the likes of Marjorie Taylor Greene and her craven ilk

Trump signs controversial order to boost deep-sea mining industry

The executive order will help private deep-sea mining companies to access mineral-rich nodules on the sea floor.
Published On 25 Apr 202525 Apr 2025
United States President Donald Trump has signed an executive order to expand the controversial but financially lucrative practice of deep-sea mining in a bid to lock down US access to critical minerals and metals beneath the seabed.
The order, which Trump signed in private on Thursday, seeks to jump-start the mining of both US and international waters as part of a push to offset China’s sweeping control of the critical minerals industry.
“The United States has a core national security and economic interest in maintaining leadership in deep-sea science and technology and seabed mineral resources,” Trump said in the order.
