Flammable and inflammable are synonyms. That's not so good.
There's no persuasive indication the English language will somehow fix this. It seems we're stuck with it. BUT !!
Combustible and incombustible are antonyms.
Rather than trying to rework "flammable", perhaps we should instead accept a new convention, for benefit of human safety.
Avoid the words "flammable" & "inflammable" from hazard signs,
substituting the word "combustible" instead.
