For my Canadian friends

With the addition of MP Michael Ma, the Liberal Government now has 171 seats, tantalizingly close to the threshold for a majority government.

The House of Commons is now on its holiday recess and will reconvene on Monday, January 26, 2026.

Meanwhile, Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre will try to manage an increasingly fractured caucus while also preparing for a Leadership Review vote by party members to be held during the CPC Convention, January 29-31 in Calgary.
