This partial list is not merely useful, but informative. It helps detail the political panorama pending for the next four years. BUT !!

That's about Trump.
Perhaps the real eye opener here is the majority electoral support Trump has received here. How can we explain this?

- A majority of voters are ignorant of this? Or
- a majority of voters are aware of this, but don't care?

Trump got millions of votes.

If the portion of the Trump electorate that knows but doesn't care is a larger fraction of the population than Trump's win margin over Harris,
they're sinking their own boat.

The system they're threatening to destabilize is the very system that brought them (U.S.) to global leadership. It's form of self-abuse that glamorizes masturbating
at the shopping mall.

Trump Advisers Ramp Up Work on Mass Deportation Push

Story by Michelle Hackman, Andrew Restuccia

Advisers to President-elect Donald Trump are drawing up plans to carry out his mass deportation pledge, including discussing how to pay for it and weighing a national emergency declaration that would allow the incoming administration to repurpose military assets to detain and remove migrants.

The behind-the-scenes discussions, which started months before the election and have picked up in the days since Trump’s victory, include policy changes required to increase deportations, according to people working on the presidential transition, members of Congress and others close to the president-elect.

Among the changes: revoking a Biden administration policy directing U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement not to pursue immigrants in the country illegally who haven’t committed other crimes, and making changes to the immigration court system to speed up cases. Trump’s allies have said they are planning first to focus on immigrants in the country illegally who have received final orders of deportation from an immigration court, of which there are about 1.3 million, as well as those with other criminal convictions or charges.

Trump’s budding deportation plans are still in flux, the president-elect’s advisers said.

Karoline Leavitt, a spokeswoman for the transition, said: ...

Trump's vanity is insatiable. In his 2016 race didn't Trump boast that he could commit murder, without significant electoral repercussion?

The expert opinion I'm aware of predict dire consequences to the U.S. economy if Trump comes close to accomplishing this. Illegal labor serves as a low cost, high quality labor source in both agriculture (harvesting crops) and for example, the restaurant business.

To be determined, If these economist's predictions are correct, will Trump back off?

Don't know enough about this guy to be able to offer an opinion (though the simple fact that Trump has asked him to serve makes you wonder what Donnie finds appealing)

'We're not going back' Democrat presidential candidate VP Kamala Harris

Alright KamHar,
what do you call it?

An old way forward?

note:
The Western world if not the planet seems to be in a scramble.
The U.S. was unlikely to meet atmospheric Carbon targets even if Democrats controlled the U.S. federal government. BUT !
- Republicans will control the exec, the "white house"
- Republicans will control the senate
- though not yet conclusive, it appears Republicans will also control the house

Not depressing enough?
Try this:
WASHINGTON, Nov 10 (Reuters) - During his campaign for re-election, Donald Trump vowed to purge the military of so-called "woke" generals. Now that he is president-elect, the question in the halls of the Pentagon is whether he would go much further.

Members of the U.S. military including our senior military commanders swear an oath of fidelity to the president of the United States AND
to the United States Constitution.

During a second Trump administration the U.S. may be careening toward a series of Constitutional crises.
Let US all hope none of them involve mushroom clouds.

Trump Pentagon pick had been flagged by fellow service member as possible 'Insider Threat'

Story by TARA COPP, MICHELLE R. SMITH and JASON DEAREN

Pete Hegseth, the Army National Guard veteran and Fox News host nominated by Donald Trump to lead the Department of Defense, was flagged as a possible “Insider Threat” by a fellow service member due to a tattoo on his bicep that's associated with white supremacist groups.

Hegseth, who has downplayed the role of military members and veterans in the Jan. 6, 2021, attack and railed against the Pentagon’s subsequent efforts to address extremism in the ranks, has said he was pulled by his District of Columbia National Guard unit from guarding Joe Biden’s January 2021 inauguration. He's said he was unfairly identified as an extremist due to a cross tattoo on his chest.

This week, however, a fellow Guard member who was the unit’s security manager and on an anti-terrorism team at the time, shared with The Associated Press an email he sent to the unit’s leadership flagging a different tattoo reading “Deus Vult” that’s been used by white supremacists, concerned it was an indication of an “Insider Threat.”

If Hegseth assumes office, it would mean that someone who has said ....

Trump picks Liberty Energy CEO and Oklo board member Chris Wright as Energy secretary #617

WASHINGTON - President-elect Donald Trump’s dream came true when Republicans swept control of the House and Senate in the 2024 election, setting up a favorable path for his legislative agenda.
But he could get pushback from a minority of members in his own party, who will likely seek to poke holes in his long to-do list.
As members returned to session this week, snapshots of this opposition crept up in GOP leadership fights, Trump’s closed-door meeting with Republican House members and his picks for cabinet roles, giving a preview of what the next few years could look like.
Standing outside the Hyatt Regency Washington hotel on Wednesday, for instance, Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., knocked House Speaker Mike Johnson’s foreign policy and labeled him a “neocon” - even after Trump had endorsed Johnson for another term to lead the chamber.
And Trump’s selection of now-former Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., as attorney general prompted immediate backlash and doubt from some Republican senators - including Sens. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, and Susan Collins, R-Maine ...

Rather than Trump expressing his own position, it's rather more like Trump advocates, tries to justify actions, past, present, or future.
It appears Trump enjoys the exercise of power.

House Ethics Committee meeting canceled amid firestorm over Gaetz report

Story by Mychael Schnell

The House Ethics Committee has canceled its meeting set for Friday morning, two sources confirmed to The Hill, as the panel faces increased pressure to release its report into former Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.).

Gaetz — who has been under investigation by the panel for roughly three years — resigned from Congress on Wednesday, immediately following his nomination by President-elect Trump to serve as attorney general.

Before Gaetz’s nomination, the committee, known for operating in secrecy, had scheduled a Friday meeting to vote on whether to release its long-awaited report into the Florida Republican. Punchbowl News first reported on the meeting, which a source familiar confirmed to The Hill.

On Tuesday evening, the source said the group was ....
