I sense Trump couldn't pass a high school civics test.

Trump seems to be Midas touched in the head, suffering the delusion that ownership is better.
Our U.S. senior military commanders understand why U.S. keeping the Hormuz Strait would be a net negative.

Which shows how Trump has no understanding at all of what a republic is.
Not only should the US be defending individual rights and be against things like murdering the Ayatollah and his wife, but it the Straits of Hormuz were ours, we legally would be obligated to defend the individual rights of all using the Persian Gulf.
