Blocking some of the media from press conferences is not even the biggest abuse.
It is ICE beating up member of the press that is much worse.

That seems like half a story to me.
I agree with your assertion as worded. BUT !
If that is actually occurring to significant degree within the United States,
then the press should make major news of it,
as it did when Trump tried to inflict his oval office ban,
and paid a hefty price for it.

For some reason it seems ICE is invulnerable?
They can sent people to El Salvador, shoot innocent people, and they never get charged?
I think the local police are afraid of the feds.
Could be the feds have more funding influence than I realized?

It may seem quite grim when news of their latest corpse hits the news cycle. BUT !
It seems red States like Texas may be wobbling a bit, as the Mexican-American %population there is large & growing.
Astoundingly, Trump reportedly got significant support from that vote segment in 2024.
Interviews I've encountered from them recently say ~ yeah, he said he'd deport ... BUT ! We didn't think he'd actually do it.

So ?

Some predict Trump's ICE thugs and destructive policies may add a new blue hue.
 
Oddly enough, a lot of native Hispanics do not like recent immigrants since they are poor and the ones here longer think it reflects badly on them.
But the money Trump is spending on ICE appears to have a long term purpose beyond dealing with the tiny and transient immigrant situation.

Just a guess, but he is building detention facilities capable of holding millions of people, and has added 12k ICE agents, to bring the total up to 25k.
And they being paid well, with bonuses, to do whatever they are told.
So I think ICE is going to be used on political dissidents?
In particular, Trump may not step down when his term is over?
