By historic standards President Donald J. Trump has solidified his ignorance and incompetence in such broad presidential categories as:
- economics: promoting the myth that a tariff imposed on a foreign nation will be paid by that foreign nation. The fact is, domestic consumers pay.
- international relations: Before his reelection Trump committed to ending the Russia / Ukraine War before Trump's second inauguration.
- bipartisan governance.

But this "jets" example in post #2,214 corroborates the fact Trump has earned high marks in obstructive, destructive presidential authoritarianism.
Since Trump in particular, and authoritarians in general can't logically refute their political opposition, they instead endeavor to silence them, drown them out.

It is a hallmark of political cowardice, a confession of inferiority, inadequacy.
 
Have to say that when the organizers first announced they were going to hold a press conference my first thought was "how is he going to disrupt this". After all, he's not above having ICE raid it or using somehow using the National Guard or ...

Grudging acknowledgement of the diversity of Trump's suppressionist repertoire.
I'm convinced S2, Trump sincerely enjoys this aspect of his exercise of power, to simply act unpredictably, for fun.
