Video cameras in U.S. law court rooms, with audio too?

One argument against cameras in the courtroom is, trial attorneys would grandstand, behave differently at trial than they would without cameras.

One argument in favor is transparency. If U.S. law court proceedings are properly run, shouldn't the citizenry know? Witness it for themselves?

These seem to be contradictory positions. Which of the two should prevail?
