That was a bad day titan. But there's a perverse reassurance here that despite their best efforts our enemies have only strengthened us. In the 1960s teens spent weekends protesting the Vietnam war.
Today's teens may not be able to find Vietnam on the map. There are probably U.S. service members on active duty today not yet born on September 11, 2001.
It would be a mistake to not learn the lessons of experience. It's also a mistake to drown in them. Commendation to you for remembering the occasion, and thanks to the country for keeping it in perspective.
