It seems few if any within the GOP have the spine to stand up to Trump. Thus it may be the 2024 Republican presidential nomination may be Trump's if he wants it. BUT !!
If the numerous legal issues surrounding Trump are used by the Democrats to render Trump ineligible to serve as president, and the Democrats time that trap to cancel the Trump candidacy after the legal deadline for the Republicans to replace Trump on the ticket, then whomever has the Democratic party nomination will enter the 2024 presidential election virtually unopposed.
If not that, why has it dragged on so long?
