I've got a couple that I use so I can register on various newspaper websites and read the articles that are "free to registered users". While I'm sure that a skillful hacker could track me down they've got no reason to since I never comment.

I've made several attempts over the years.
Perhaps Facebook tracks IP addresses.
I can try at the public library.

Its probably been a decade since I started using Facebook, but I don't remember it being a problem.
Not sure if a dummy email works since some things send an email code you have to type in, to verify access?

And if the normal process were acceptable, address of this how-to wouldn't be here.

I don't care much for cyber-buttsniffing, would not dream (nightmare) of disclosing personal details on the Internet, transcendently unthinkable!
It's never been about how I can disclose details under the pseud: Bruce Somebodyelse.

It's purely about lurk, to gain access to the material disclosed there, WITHOUT having to divulge my own details.

It's a low priority at this point.

Well I do get about a dozen emails a day that claim there was a problem with my auto payment for things like streaming channels, insurance, etc., and that I should click on their link in an email that clearly is not sent by who they claim to be.
What is even scarier is how they seem to know what I am doing.
Like we are negotiating solar, and suddenly I am getting dozens of emails about the dangers of solar contracts.

I teeter on the precipice of having two daily use computers, one Linux machine for Internet access, a simple vanilla PC that even if hacked couldn't produce more than my browser bookmarks.

It seems it shall be ever thus.
We can thank in part the "free" services we get, almost certainly including gmail, etc.
My e-mail is through my ISP.
The browser ads I get are often for products I've recently purchased e-tail.
I understand the intent. Problem is, I already bought one. They think I need another ?
 
Have to say that I very rarely get those sort of emails - every once in a while I get a phone call telling me there's an issue with my credit card (usually one issued by a bank I've never heard of) but those calls are very rare as well.
 
Have to say that I have no idea who this guy is but the simple fact that he can say something like this is "disturbing"

Exactly.
The targeted ads and stuff they start sending and showing is almost never useful since I already purchased the one I was considering.

I get over half a dozen marketing calls a day, so no longer answer the phone and just let it all go to messages.
Being a slum landlord, I likely get on lots of lists by the real estate closings and bank credit checks.

What is the most odd and hypocritical is that real Jews were taught the Rabbinical Diaspora Decree of 136 AD.
After the Hebrew rebellion beating twice by the Romans, the Jewish leaders had to choose between there being no god, not being god's chosen, or god temporarily punishing the Jews.
The result being that Jews were told to leave the Mideast and atone for the sins of arrogance and pride, and not to return until the coming of the Messiah was prove we had been forgiven.
