Please don't misinterpret my #1,691 as ridicule of a poster / contributor. The alarming ill-chosen words quoted here surely deserve the attention of a concerned electorate.
My intended counterpoint is, if only this were the worst of it.
President Trump is not the only human in the solar system to have misspoken. The example in post #1,690 is recent. Does it indicate sudden radical decline?
The following is a perspective from those hostile to Trump:

BTW, even if a company were to decide that they were going to build a factory in the US it will take years and what sane company is going to spend billions of dollars when TACOman can, and likely will, change his mind tomorrow?

BTW, even if we pretend that someone is going to be dumb enough to commit billions of dollars to build that factory, just how many foreign laborers (on H1B visas or whatever) will be required to oversee the construction of the plant and the training of the workers running it? Or are we going to see a repeat of what happened with the Korean workers who came to help set up that factory?

I suspect President Trump, reportedly the first U.S. president in history to serve with dozens of felony convictions, was motivated by his own persecution * complex here.
Thus this statement not made out of benevolence to free speech, but instead intended to protect himself from justice.
