An Open Letter to Marjorie Taylor Greene from, Alyssa Milano November 17, 2025:

“Congresswoman Greene,

Let’s skip the pleasantries. They were never your thing anyway. So…you’ve suddenly discovered that Donald Trump, the man you treated like a messiah, is not loyal and that the MAGA movement is not safe, not sane, and certainly not rooted in anything constitutional. And you’re shocked that he’s attacking you, endangering you, calling you a traitor. As if you didn’t know he had it in him. Puh-lease. Here’s the part you don’t get to skip:

You helped create this monster. You fed it. You protected it. You celebrated it. And now that it’s finally turning on you, you want sympathy? Understanding? A moment of national concern? No. Absolutely not. NOPE.

You don’t get to unleash political poison into the bloodstream of American politics and then act surprised when it reaches your own veins. You don’t get to cheer on Trump while he smears, threatens, and dehumanizes everyone in his way, and then clutch your fake pearls when he finally does it to you. You don’t get to empower a movement built on conspiracy, cruelty, and violence, and then cry foul when you become its latest target. Let’s be honest, you calling for the release of the Epstein Files, isn’t courage. It’s fear. You don’t suddenly care about truth or justice. And you definitely don’t care about the victims.

You are calling for the release of the files because you’re afraid of what unchecked power looks like when it’s no longer aimed at ....

As a matter of fundamental journalistic principle, commenting on actions, conduct, political policy positions, seems well within reason. BUT
does speculating about motive and presenting it as fact qualify as journalism?

There's a potentially substantially more consequential irony here.
The institutions MAGA Republicans undermine are connected to the sources that empower these Republican iconoclasts. Trump / MAGA are undermining the very government that empowers them.

If they were unmistakably judicious, prudent, constructive, honest, trustworthy there might be less cause for alarm.
They're not.
There isn't.

The good People of the nation stand witness to the demolition, as the checks-&-balances designed to respond to such dangers are being dismantled.

Whether Trump / MAGA will succeed in rendering the United States Constitution obsolete, we may not yet know.
But that objective is not inconsistent with actions already taken.

Same with the one about how consumer prices have fallen this year, the one about how Trump ended seven or eight wars, and the one about how foreign leaders around the world emptied their prisons and mental institutions to send unwanted citizens across the US border as migrants.

I've been puzzling over that since before the 2016 election.
Physically Trump seems to get around OK.
Back in 2016 I didn't think much of Trump's politics. The elapsed decade hasn't been an improvement.

the degradation I've observed progressing in Trump for these 10 years seems to approximately mesh with Trump's advancing age (turns 80 June 14).
The supply in our "good luck" tank has run dry. We're not out of the woods by a fer piece.
Trump's bumping off suspected / accused drug smugglers in international water by the dozen, and:

A black car cut off a woman and 3 masked men got out and tried to pull the screaming woman from her car.
I stopped and just asked what was going on, and they body slammed me.
The concussion caused me to be unable to remember my name or address for hours.
It seems intentional that they have no ID except if they turn around, it does say ICE on their back.

There was also humor to it.
Since I temporarily had no memory from the concussion, I could not drive.
So then ICE had to drive me to a rental I was prepping for sale, whose address I could remember for some reason.
My wife and painter were there, so I was fine after that.
But someone had to drive my Ford Explorer, and the guy who had to do that was upset because it is a stick shift.

Whether the bleeding is external (nose or ear), or internal (no red dots on the ground, but the smell & or taste of blood),
I've been knocked unconscious a few times. Not good.

Who knows? If I'd avoided that, I might be president of the solar system by now. [/head trauma]

I only had a concussion once before.
I had hired a roofer and he was a little unstable.
He wanted more money I think, and I leaned on the hood of my car and asked him to explain what he wanted.
I do not remember being punched, but was unaware of everything until I shook my head and he was driving away.
So being punched was the only possibility.
Not a good strategy on his part, since I might have acquiesced if I had heard his argument.
What was odd was I had remained leaning in the hood.
The only thing I noticed was that when I regained consciousness, I was looking down.
